Gateway FPD1975W Monitor Repair
If you have a Gateway FPD1975W monitor that either has a blinking power light or no power then this should help get you back running. This power supply board is also used in the Proview PL926Wbi.
This model monitor can use two different power supplies. Check the board in your unit, if it does not look like the one below then click here to see version 2. To do the repair you will need the following tools: Soldering iron, de-solder braid, Phillips screwdriver, flat blade screwdriver. You monitor will need 4 680uf caps 25v, 2 470uf 25v and 2 220uf 25v caps. We sell a repair kit with all of the parts for $14.00 including shipping.
If you don’t want to do the repair yourself, then use the service request link above. Most monitor repairs run $30-35 plus return shipping.
This is the power supply with the capacitors you will need to replace circled in yellow. We hope to have a step by step repair guide to the repair posted shortly but for now the dis-assembly guides for the other models should help you get this unit open. If you have additional questions just use the contact us link below.
