Repairing the Westinghouse LCM-19W4

The Westinghouse LCM-19W4 19″ LCD monitor has issues with the Back light power supply.  The unit will have either a flashing power light, no power at all, or it may take several minutes to display a picture.  This model and others that use the DAC-12M030 or DAC-12M028 power supply can be repaired using this guide. Update: this board is also used in the Viewsonic VA1912 and Westinghouse LCM-19V7 & LCM-17V8 monitors.

The complete the repair you will need to have the following tools:
Soldering iron, De-solder Wick, Phillips screwdriver, Flat blade screwdriver and solder. The repair on this unit involves replacing the 7 capacitors in the power supply.  The values needed are as follows:
qty(2) 220mf 25v capacitors
qty(2) 1000uf 25v capacitors
qty(1) 1000uf 10v
qty(1) 2200 10v
and qty(1) 22uf 50v capacitors.
