Samsung has reached a settlement in class action lawsuit over faulty TV power supplies

Samsung Electronics America has reached a proposed settlement to the class action lawsuit over faulty capacitors in several series of LCD, DLP and Plasma TVs manufacturer before Dec. 31 2008. If you have a TV that had power supply issues and is in the affected model groups then they will repair the unit or reimburse you for repair charges if you have already had the unit repaired.

The affected models are as follows:

If you have or have had one of these units the you need to call 1- 888-899-7602 to see if your unit is covered.

Samsung has denied the issue is their fault but has agreed to cover the expenses.
