With all of the viruses, spyware and security exploits that are running rampant today it is very important to keep the programs you use up to date. Problems with Winsock

Have you lost internet connection after removing spyware or a virus? The most likely cause is a corrupted Winsock. The winsock ( short for windows sockets API ) is the group of settings that allows Windows to talk over networks using TCP/IP protocals such as the Internet. Many spyware programs will modify the settings in the Winsock so they can see where you are going and what you are doing on the internet.
